Following a smash hit season in 2005, Joburg Theatre is pleased to announce the exclusive return to The Mandela stage of THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE with the brand new production PULSE, taking to the stage from Thursday August 18 for a strictly limited season until September 4, 2011.

In 2005, audiences travelled to Joburg from all over Africa and were blown away to witness the critically acclaimed THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE show THE WALL and now six years later, due to very strong public demand, the band returns to entice audiences once more with performances that are as close to the real thing as they can possibly be.

THE EXPERIENCE is seeking to 'push the envelope' yet again as the cast prepares for their biggest show yet, a recreation of Pink Floyd's landmark stadium show THE DIVISION BELL TOUR, which was released as an album in the 1990s titled PULSE.

THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE - PULSE TOUR will feature a theatre stage recreation of the music, staging and special effects used by Pink Floyd in what was to become the biggest-grossing concert tour in history: 20 tons of state-of-the-art, custom-made equipment, awe-inspiring sets and visuals, lasers, stunning lighting, a spectacular sound system and an extremely passionate 10-piece band.

With soaring music, mind-blowing visuals and flawless production, THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE immortalises Pink Floyd, capturing the intense live experience, the psychedelic, the genius and the madness that were the hallmarks of rock's greatest band ever.

PULSE features a three-hour show of some of Pink Floyd's finest songs performed by a ten piece band whose members have earned a reputation worldwide for their meticulous attention to detail, their passionate and powerful delivery of Pink Floyd's music and their high production standards.

With THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE band having been performing together for over a decade, this show promises to be another full scale, full on Floydian Spectacular!

Having just completed a 15 date tour of New Zealand, THE EXPERIENCE is set to perform 14 shows only at Joburg Theatre in August before heading back to Australia. New Zealand audiences were blown away as THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE delivered what many said was its best show yet.

Thirty-one years on, Pink Floyd's albums are still among the highest selling of any given year, which is evidence that the public still craves the magic that was created by Pink Floyd. To be able to witness a recreation of that magic live is now a once-in-a-lifetime event.

This is not a "tribute" show. These guys have lived Pink Floyd for over a decade, faithfully recreating the legendary band's music and producing a staged rock concert of great theatrical emotion.
THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE - PULSE TOUR performances begin in The Mandela on Thursday August 18th 2011 and the limited season must close on Sunday September 4th 2011.

Shows are Wednesdays to Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm.
