Pirates Club has got off to a great start this year with some nice get together amongst the members and it is great to see everyone again. The turnout for Cricket, Hockey and Rugby has been great but please keep promoting our wonderful club as it is a great place to play sport and meet like-minded people.
Pirates Business Network - Friday 27th January
Pirates Business Network will be taking off this year with our first meeting for the year being held on Friday 27th January at 15h00 in the Pirates Main Bar. We appeal to all members who are in their own business to join us as this is a fantastic opportunity to find business and to support fellow Pirates and Community Members.
Pirates club is a wifi hotspot
Yes this is true - come down with your laptop and as a member you will receive free internet. If you are not a member you only get 30 minutes free.
It is very simple to log on and away you go. The kitchen is open during the day and lovely coffee can be served - what a wonderful office environment to work in.
Pirates Wine Club
Pirates Club runs a very successful Wine Tasting Club. Tastings are held once a month on Thursdays at the Club. The cost to be a member of the Wine Club is R200.00 for the year. As a member you will pay R50.00 per evening for the tastings which includes a light meal. If you prefer not to become a member you are more than welcome to join us for tastings this will cost you R100.00 per tasting.
The 1st Tasting will take place on Thursday 16th February at 19h00. If you would like to be on the database to receive the regular updates please send an email to non@piratesrugby.co.za
Club Draw Friday 27th January at 6.30pm
Pay your subs for 2012 and stand a chance of winning double your money back. There is R2 500.00 to be won in January. Only 2012 paid up members will be in the draw so pay your subs soon and stand a good chance of winning.

Social hockey has started
The Pirates Hockey 2012 Season has got underway with a great turnout at the first practice last week. Social Hockey evenings are being held every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome no matter what your standard or age.

Pirates has a vibrant tennis section
Anyone interested in Tennis must please come down to Social Tennis at
Pirates on a Saturday afternoon from 14h00. Everyone is welcome all you have to do is pop down to the Club introduce yourself and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of Tennis.
Pirates also offers Tennis Coaching from Duane Armstrong - please contact Duane on 082 456 5441 if you are interested in coaching for yourself or your children

* The Club is looking to fix the fencing from the Pigeon House to the Dump to stop cars driving in - we would like to use the money raised from the Golf Day. I need a contact please does anyone know of a company that I can approach to do this for us.
* The Club is upgrading our website so we need some photo's and/or any information you think would be useful for the website.
